Wadi Rum is a short detour from the Desert Highway between Amman and Aqaba. A side road leads to the entrance where you will find the Wadi Rum Visitors Centre, and a police office .The cost to enter into Wadi Rum Protected Area is 5 Jordanian dinars (JOD5) per person.

Aqaba to Wadi Rum

  •  Duration : around 1 hour
  •  Taxi from airport :  Aqaba King Hussein Airport to Wadi Rum : around 35 JOD
  •  Taxi from Aqaba city :  Aqaba King Hussein Airport to Wadi Rum : around 30 JOD
  •  Bus :  Daily. BUS JTT. Departure from Mövenpick Tala Bay -Aqaba at 7:30AM  : 18 JOD per perso

 

Petra to Wadi Rum

  •  Duration : around 2 hours by taxi / 3 hours by bus
  •  Taxi  : Wadi Musa to Wadi Rum : around 40 JOD .  The journey is most of the time on a higher altitude road and is pretty much interesting.
  •  Bus :  Daily. Departure from Wadi Musa bus station at 6:30 AM  : 8 JOD per person. Tickets should be booked through your hotel in Petra. The bus driver then collects you from your hotel directly or the Wadi Musa bus station in case you stay outside Wadi Musa itself

Amman to Wadi Rum

  •  Duration : around 4 to 5 hours
  •  Taxi  : around 110 JOD .
  •  Bus :  No bus goes directly to/from Amman, but regular buses head towards Aqaba or Ma’an. Get on a bus at the Southern bus station (Mojamaa Janoobi station/Wehdat Station ) for 6 JOD
